Winter Clothing Range - Brand Store

The client briefed us to come up with casual winter garments that are retail quality that the students would like. It had to be different from normal catalogue items.

We realised that the existing range of garments were very stale and lacked styling, refined detail and quality branding. Careful consideration was given to colour pallets, fabric selection and choice of garments. We broke it up into Hoodies, Sweaters and long sleeve t-shirts.
Colours chosen had to match fashion trends and to be in line with the universities Corporate Identity were Charcoal(Melange) and Black.

We had some room to explore a more creative colour way on the t-shirts. Only the best grade brushed cotton fleece was sourced and dyed up to ensure a comfortable product that would maintain it's shape and hold it's colour so that this garment could last a few seasons.
Attention to detail was emphasised from our end to ensure we deliver a premium product.
Woven badge labels were designed and created, each purposefully placed on the garment and each label spoke to the corporate language of the university.

#MY NWU, NWU Since 2004. Positions where badges were placed include on the draw cords, bottom left body panel, sleeve and inner neck. Our team designed a swing tag that was in line with the corporate identity that would be used for barcoding the garments.
Custom moulded metal eyelets for the draw cord holes were designed and made up with an antique silver finish so that the logo which is stamped into the metal would be visible.
Ribbed neck flossing detailing was selected for the sweaters as a subtle and classy finish. A fashion fitted pattern was chosen so that the garments fit elegantly and look neat at all times.

The branding choice was screen printing on the one sweater with a heat press finish as an extra touch. Multi-layer branding was chosen on the hoodies with us using AA grade felt base and secondary layer with a running stitch embroidery on the fine white line detail. These combined to deliver an exquisite and interesting branding solution. 3D raised silicone was chosen as the branding method on the second sweater. The aim was to have a plain branded garment that was interesting but more yet more subtle. Quality finishes have to be match with world class workmanship and thus we are able to produce these garments that meet the highest retail grading.
